WPS Management

Lyn Hainge
Executive Director

Lyn Hainge, MS, brings over 25 years of health industry management expertise to her new role as WPS’ Executive Director.  Her experience includes leadership roles in both public and private (not-for-profit) health-related agencies.  Most recently, she served for nine years as Arlington County’s Assistant Public Health Division Chief (aka Chief Operating Officer).  During that time, she was responsible for personnel matters as well as for assuring that all programs (e.g., school health services, clinic operations, environmental health and occupational health) were strategically and financially sound and met quality standards.  In addition, she periodically served as subject matter expert to the Arlington County Board.

Prior to her work for Arlington County, she helped create, govern and/or manage several not-for-profit “safety-net” agencies.  These agencies included Hospice of Northern Virginia (now Capitol Hospice), Neighborhood Health, Inc. (the area’s first federally qualified health center), the Campbell Hoffman Foundation (which funded programs that increased access to mental and oral health care), and the Northern Virginia Area Health Education Center (NVAHEC). As founding Executive Director of NVAHEC, she led the agency to local and national prominence in the field of health care interpretation and translation services.
