Presenter: Humaira Siddiqi, MD
Humaira Siddiqi, MD, DFAPA is a practitioner, executive leader having deep connections across communities and organizations, and is an educator holding clinical faculty appointments in the Washington DC metropolitan area. She is also currently the President-Elect of the Washington Psychiatric Society. Dr.Siddiqi completed her psychiatry residency as Chief Resident at Saint Elizabeths Hospital in Washington DC. In 2012, Dr. Siddiqi joined the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical group with Kaiser Permanente and became the Chief of Psychiatry for Virginia, and was subsequently appointed as the Regional Medical Director of Psychiatry for the Mid-Atlantic region, where she managed mental health teams responsible for a patient population of over 750,000 members across Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. She developed programs in psychiatric urgent care, addiction medicine, women’s mood and anxiety disorders, interventional psychiatry (ECT, TMS, Ketamine), as well as systems and protocols in emerging therapeutics. Lastly, she completed her Psilocybin facilitator certification through the Integrative Psychiatric Institute in 2024 and her Advanced Certification in 2025.
As a Board-certified psychiatrist, Dr.Siddiqi has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Washingtonian magazine for 7 years and by Northern Virginia magazine for 9 years. For her contributions in the field of psychiatry, Dr. Siddiqi has also been honored by the American Psychiatric Association as a Distinguished Fellow. Now in private practice, she founded Kismet Psychiatry and Wellness LLC, bringing together her expertise in interventional psychiatry, integrative psychiatry, and psychotherapy within the field of emerging therapeutics.
